These pictures were sent to us by Gerhard Grieb, 1st Platoon, Company A,
3/39th, 9th Infantry Division.They give the members of the 240th a
perspective of how the GRUNTS of the 9th saw the Greyhounds and Mad Dogs of
the 240th AHC. The last picture sums up the feelings of the GRUNTS so
eloquently: "A lonely feeling when the SLICKS leave." We, the 240th AHC, have
had several TROOPERS of the 9th contact us since they discovered our website,
LZ of the 240th AHC, and they wanted to contribute to the next website to
show the members of the 240th AHC that the 9th Infantry had nothing but the
utmost of respect for us.
