Photos Of Martin "Speedy" Gonzales

Martin, better known by his nickname, "Speedy" Gonzales served with the 240th Assault Helicopter Company from January 1968 to January 1969. Speedy wasn't assigned to any particular flight but flew as a doorgunner with the Greyhound Lift Platoons and with our Kennel Keepers. When Speedy returned from Vietnam he went to Fort Stewart, Georgia and then off to Germany. Speedy got out of the Army in 1970 and after a 15 year break, joined the Texas Army National Guard. Our Brother, Speedy, since going back in the Army has served in El Salvador (1996), Bosnia in August of 2003 to March of 2004 and in Speedy's own words, "God only knows what is in store for me next!" Speedy is serving with the 1st Battalion, 149th Aviation Brigade currently in Bosnia and we wish him and all his fellow soldiers well and we thank and support them all 100%!
