GI Joe's Tavern

Last year I finally tore down the old brick barbecue that had been in our yard for 18 years. One of my closest friends, John Teron who is a master carpenter, built me a shed for storage and we turned part of it into an outside tavern and gathering place for friends. If any of my 240th brothers or their families ever are passing through the greater Cleveland area, G.I. Joe's Tavern is always open so stop by for a COLD ONE!

An original Mad Dog sign painted for Mad Dog 16, CW2 Mike Forrester. When we reunited again in 1994, Mad Dog 16 gave me the sign he had brought home from Bearcat. I had the sign framed and it is proudly display at G.I. Joe's Tavern.

Pull up a stool and order a "Cold One!"

The deck will be extended to the right and out from G.I. Joe's this year. There will be plenty of room for all!

I don't think this picture needs any explaining! Thanks to my friend/neighbor, John Selepena, this hand painted sign is displayed in a prominent place at G.I. Joe's Tavern.

I had this banner made for the 2002, 240th AHC Reunion at Dothan, Alabama which paid homage to our fantastic maintenance platoon, The Kennel Keepers. I have the banner displayed in my yard to go along with G.I. Joe's Tavern. A toast to the men that kept the Greyhounds and Mad Dogs in the air, our FANTASTIC & PROFESSIONALS Brothers of the great Kennel Keepers! Thank you all for a job WELL DONE!!!!!
